This Virgin Mojito is all of the delicious flavor but none of the alcohol. A Mojito Mocktail perfect for family-friendly crowds, a new favorite non-alcoholic drink, and a great way to unwind without the buzz.

Lime, fresh mint and granulated sugar topped with bubbly club soda. The fresh muddled limes and mint combined with the sugar give a crunchy and refreshing taste. A refreshing mocktail with none of the alcohol!
You will particularly enjoy this mocktail if you go for the classics or light and refreshing flavors. I love non-alcoholic drinks using real fruits, like my Spicy Cinnamon Pineapple & Ginger Mocktail, Pineapple Water / Agua de Piña or Orange Agua Fresca / Agua de Naranja.

When I was in high school, we lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. There was this restaurant located in the Intercontinental Hotel that we frequented that served the best virgin mojitos. They made them with granulated sugar and lots of mint and limes.
I loved the crunch of the sugar in some sips, and how it had many layers of flavor. When I turned 21 I tried the alcoholic version and didn’t like it nearly as much! Mocktail mojitos are my go-to virgin cocktail. They look alcoholic (if you’re worried about that) and taste honestly better?!

Ingredients & Substitutions

- Mint. A must have in a mojito. Substitute for basil, but it will not be traditional.
- Lime. A must have in a mojito. Substitute for orange or grapefruit, but it will not be traditional.
- Sugar. Granulated sugar is best to get a delicious crunch and pop of flavor in the drink. Substitute for simple syrup, honey or agave.
- Club Soda. To get that bubbly, light taste in a mocktail mojito, you substitute the rum and club soda for only club soda. I prefer using sparkling mineral water like Topo Chico. Use club soda, mineral water, seltzer or sparkling lime water.

Tips, Tricks & Frequently Asked Questions
A virgin mojito has fresh limes, mint, granulated sugar and club soda.
Nope, but i highly suggest it. The best part of a mojito is the crunch from granulated sugar. If you use simple syrup, honey or agave syrup you skip that part.
You can always use a non-alcoholic rum substitute, or swap for only club soda (my preference).
