- 1 cup club soda (topo chico preferred)
- 1 lime cut into four wedges; washed thoroughly
- 5 mint leaves washed thoroughly
- 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
Cut the lime into four wedges.
Add two lime wedges into a tall glass.
Muddle gently to release the lime juice.
Add the sugar, mint leaves and remaining two lime wedges to the glass.
Gently muddle again to release the juices of the limes and mint.
Add ice and half of the club soda and stir.
Pour remaining club soda.
Best to enjoy with a straw!
- If you don’t have a muddler, you can use the end of a wooden spoon.
- Don’t skip muddling! It will release the juices and oils of the lime and mint, giving it extra flavor and aroma. You won’t get the same result by shaking or stirring.
- If your limes aren’t very juicy, add a teaspoon of warm water to help muddle the sugar.
