    Why this recipe works

    • Easy to make gluten free with a simple swap.
    • Healthy turkey burgers made with wholesome and simple ingredients.
    • Make ahead of time for an easy meal prep.
    • Ready in under 30 minutes.
    • Gluten free

    Ingredients

Ingredients to make gluten free turkey burgers.

    Yellow onion

Using onions in the burger adds a lot of flavor and helps keep it moist. Use about one half of a medium sized yellow onion, finely chopped.

    Ground turkey breast

Ground turkey breast is a lean ground turkey. You can substitute for regular ground turkey. You can also substitute for lean ground beef.  If you would rather chicken burgers, check out Gluten Free Chicken Burgers!

    Gluten free bread crumbs

This simple swap keeps these delicious turkey burgers gluten free! Gluten free breadcrumbs are pretty widely available in most grocery stores, but if you cannot find them in yours, simply toast 2-3 pieces of your favorite gluten free bread, tear into pieces, and place in the food processor. Pulse until crumbly.

    Grated parmesan cheese

Another great way to add savory flavor to these turkey burger patties.

    Gluten free hamburger buns

Use your favorite gluten free burger buns. Since gluten free foods are becoming more popular, you should be able to find these in your local grocery store. If you can’t find gluten free bread, try using lettuce as the “bun” for Turkey burger lettuce wraps!

See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
