    Why this recipe works

    This recipe is:

    • Simple
    • Healthy
    • Refreshing
    • 4 Ingredients

    Ingredients notes

Ingredients to make a mango pineapple smoothie: frozen mango and pineapple, and coconut milk.

    Light coconut milk

While I typically use whatever milk I have in my fridge, I highly recommend coconut milk for this smoothie. Other dairy free milks like almond or oat milk may cause this smoothie to taste a little more watered-down.

    Frozen mango and pineapple

Using these frozen tropical fruits helps make a thicker consistency and colder smoothie. You can swap for fresh fruit for a more liquid smoothie. Substitute for frozen fruit of choice.

TIP! Frozen fruit helps this tropical smoothie recipe reach a delicious consistency!

    Instructions

First, add all ingredients into the blender! If you want to add protein powder, do so at this stage.

    Next, blend until smooth!

Finally, pour into glasses and enjoy fresh!

    Variations

What else can you add to this Mango Pineapple Smoothie?

    • Smoothie Bowl: To thicken it up further like a smoothie bowl swap the coconut water for Greek yogurt or frozen cauliflower.
    • Creamy: To make it creamier and more calories, use coconut milk instead of coconut water or add avocado!
    • Herbs: Add mint.
    • Toppings: Top with shredded coconut flakes, chia seeds, or drizzle with nut butter.
    • Protein: Add a scoop of protein powder or greek yogurt to make this a great post-workout bite.
    • Greens: Add kale or spinach to get more greens into this smoothie. It may appear a greenish brown color if added.
    • More Fruit: Add strawberries or frozen banana!

    Expert Tips

Extra fruity: if you love the fruity flavors, try swapping orange juice for the milk!

Don’t be afraid to add more liquid: If the consistency is too thick, you should be comfortable adding a tablespoon or more of additional milk.

Storage Directions: smoothies are best enjoyed within a few hours, but can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight glass, for 24 hours.

      5 stars
I make this pretty much every day, or sometimes will swap out one of the two fruits with frozen strawberries, blackberries, or something else. But its the perfect smoothie base recipe without the need for ice, yogurt, or anything else!
