Ingredients

  • 2 green apples cut into wedges
  • 1 large English cucumber sliced in half vertically and horizontally
  • 2 cups kale loosely packed
  • 1 orange peels removed and sliced in half
  • 4 celery stalks
  • Handful fresh parsley optional

Instructions

Juicer Method

  • Start juicing at High and add cucumber quarters in between kale.
  • Switch to Turbo and finish with green apple slices, celery and orange pieces.
  • Enjoy juice immediately or transfer to an airtight container or jar and into the fridge.

Blender Method

  • Ensure that green apple cores are removed. Cut all prepped ingredients into a 1” dice.
  • Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
  • Blend all ingredients until smooth - you may have to use your blender tamper to push ingredients down into the blades.
  • Once smooth, transfer liquid into a strainer over a large measuring cup or bowl.
  • Gently push on the pulp to release the juice into the cup.
  • Discard pulp or reuse it, and enjoy juice immediately or transfer to an airtight container or jar and into the fridge.

Notes

If using the blender method, juice may be thicker. To reduce the thickness of the juice, strain twice.
Fresh juice is best when consumed immediately or within a few hours. If you need to store the juice for later, drink it within 72 hours, but most recommended in the first 24 hours.
When adding greens into juices, depending on the juicer recipe, try to intersperse greens with other juicing ingredients. This helps make sure the smaller greens get juiced.
Storage directions: Fresh fruit juices are best enjoyed within 24 hours. I prefer to chill my fresh juices for about 30 minutes prior to serving. Store in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours.
Freezing directions: If you won’t consume the juice in the first 3 days, you can freeze the leftovers. The best way to do this is with ice cube trays. Freeze the juice into trays, then transfer to a freezer bag. Store frozen for 2-3 months. For more information on juicing, check out my Ultimate Guide to Juicing.
