Blender Instructions
Peel the ginger root by using a spoon.
Add water and ginger to a high-powered blender.
Blend until smooth.
Strain mixture through a cheesecloth or sieve, making sure to press on the pulp to release all liquids.
Add honey to the ginger juice, and stir to combine.
To Make Tea
Combine ½ - 1 cup of ginger juice with 1 cup of hot water, depending on desired strength of ginger.
Add sweetener if desired.
You can substitute maple syrup or granulated sugar (like coconut sugar or regular sugars) instead of honey, but please be reminded that all sugars add a slightly different taste.
Store in an airtight container, like a large jug or pitcher, in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze in ice cube trays for up to 6 months.
