- 1 cup water
- ½ cup barista oat milk
- 1 bag Earl gray tea
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
Bring water to a boil in a tea kettle or pot.
In a small pot, warm the oat milk and bring to a simmer. Once at a simmer, add the syrup and stir together. Continue to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
While the milk and sweetener simmers, pour the boiled water into your mug and add the Earl grey tea bag. Allow to steep for 3-5 minutes, or according to tea bag instructions. Make sure to not over-steep as it will get bitter.
Froth the oat milk and maple syrup mixture.
Remove the earl grey tea bags from your mug and pour in the frothed oat milk. Spoon any foam on top of the latte.
Storage: leftovers can be stored in an airtight container or jar and refrigerated for up to 5 days.
Make Ahead: Make the Earl Gray tea latte up to a few days ahead, refrigerate and reheat when ready to serve. Make or add any toppings right before serving.
Reheat: Pour the oat milk London fog latte into a sauce pot or pan and reheat over medium-heat until heated through completely. Don’t let the milk come to a boil but let it gently warm, as some milks (dairy or non-dairy) can curdle or separate.
