A Moscow mule is often served in a tall copper mug. Is it required? Nope. You can use any highball glass, mug, or regular kitchen glass cup.
Rum. Use your favorite spiced rum.
Ginger Beer. Bubbly, zingy and spicy! Don’t substitute for Ginger Ale as that is too sweet.
Fresh Lime Juice. This Rum Moscow mule drink doesn’t have many ingredients - I suggest going with freshly squeezed lime juice on this one!
Pineapple Juice. Use store bought pineapple juice (not from concentrate), or make your own pineapple juice. Blend ½ whole pineapple (cut into large chunks) with ¼ cup water until smooth. Strain into a pitcher or airtight container.
For a non-alcoholic substitute, try Ritual's Spiced Rum alternative. It tastes really similar to spiced rum and offers an alcohol-free option. It's great for serving to kids too!
